The Nehemiah Initiative is a new non-profit that seeks to empower, transform, and restore families in our community to emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical wholeness.

Uniquely we seek to surround and uplift single mothers, empower their children to break generational cycles, and combat fatherlessness.

We believe healthy individuals create healthy families and healthy families create healthy communities.

In 444 BC Nehemiah took a midnight ride around the broken walls of Jerusalem assessing where they were broken and needed to be rebuilt. Despite tremendous opposition, the Jewish remnant proceeded to rally and rebuild the broken walls of the city in 52 days. Much like Nehemiah in 444 BC, we too are riding around broken walls. This time however they are the broken walls of the family. While human and family brokenness cannot be rebuilt in 52 days, we are choosing to take the final 52 days of the year, from November 10th – December 31st, to draw attention and resources to our mission and work.

Please help us help families here in Pitt County by giving to this 52 day campaign!
